Night on Earth
Night On Earth
Programs Presented by Futura Seoul
Night on Earth is an original program by FUTURA SEOUL, co-curated with Sua Hwang of HOLO Sight & Sound.
Night is not a time of pause or stillness, but a time when senses and worlds—unrevealed during the day—begin to emerge.
Night on Earth focuses on this quality of time, reopening the boundaries of what we think we know.
Here, a wide range of media and genres—including sound, performance, literature, and film—are explored, yet freed from the constraints of their conventional forms.
Instead, attention is placed on the very moment perception comes into being.
Through encounters with unfamiliar sensations and experiences, new artistic languages begin to emerge.
Night on Earth is open to all—anyone can participate, perceive, and experience.
Futura Seoul's goal is to establish an art space
that goes beyond limitations. As a start,
we have organized a cooperative program titled
'NIGHT ON EARTH:
HUMAN, NATURE, MACHINE, AND FUTURE'
that will feature artists from diverse backgrounds
conveying their viewpoints on humanity and the future.
This program aims to foster an environment
where creators and audiences from different fields
can openly exchange and appreciate
each other's ideas and creative sparks.
