Refik Anadol : Large Nature Model ㅡ a co-organized exhibition by Futura Seoul and Ulsan Art Museum

Refik Anadol’s project Large Nature Model: Immersive Edition, which has opened new horizons in contemporary media art through generative AI works based on natural data, is presented once again in 2026 following its introduction in 2024.
Based on the generative AI model Large Nature Model, trained on vast datasets of nature—including natural images, sounds, and LiDAR-based 3D data—the work continuously generates ever-changing landscapes of nature through data and algorithms. By transforming invisible data into a visual experience, Anadol’s work unfolds new sensory images at the intersection of nature and technology, reality and the virtual.
Originally presented at Futura Seoul in 2024, the work returns in 2026 through a collaboration with the Ulsan Art Museum, where it will be presented once again on a media screen within the city.
This initiative expands the exhibition space of the museum into the public realm, creating another moment in which art can be encountered naturally within the everyday landscape of the city.
The collaboration also demonstrates how a single exhibition can continue across different spaces and contexts.
The landscape of data unfolding across an urban screen will greet audiences in a new way within the environment of Ulsan.
